And for anyone looking to better manage their careers, the holiday season is a great opportunity to tap into their network to help them achieve what they would not be able to achieve on their own.

Of course, networking is not simply a game of give and take. As the holiday season is analogous with giving, networking is no different. Networks, relationships and connections are commonly owned resources, like the earth – everyone can profit from it, but to do so, everyone must also strive to keep it flourishing and bountiful.
